Enterprise Service Notice: This document outlines terms for professional IT asset disposition, motherboard deprovisioning services, enterprise equipment redeployment preparation, secure data erasure, and authorized factory reset services. These services are designed for legitimate business use, equipment lifecycle management, and compliance with global IT asset management standards.

1. Service Scope & Enterprise Terminology

My Motherboards Inc. provides specialized IT Asset Deprovisioning Services, Enterprise Equipment Reset Services, and Redeployment Preparation Services for legitimate business purposes. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Motherboard Deprovisioning Services: Reset of enterprise motherboards to factory-equivalent state for legitimate redeployment
  • IT Asset Lifecycle Management: Professional preparation of equipment for secure redeployment in enterprise environments
  • Secure Data Sanitization: Compliant data erasure following industry standards including NIST SP 800-88 and DoD 5220.22-M. We can adjust to whatever erasure method and standard the customer requires
  • Enterprise Equipment Reset: Restoration of devices to original manufacturer specifications for legitimate business use
  • Redeployment Preparation Services: Comprehensive testing and validation for equipment ready for enterprise deployment
  • ITAD Services Support: Supporting legitimate IT Asset Disposition processes for enterprise clients

2. Customer Ownership & Authorization

By submitting a device, you confirm that you own the device or are duly authorized to request the selected services (including data wipe/deprovisioning or destruction). We may request proof of identity and ownership and may refuse service if authorization is not reasonably established or where the request appears unlawful or unsafe.

2.1 Proof of Ownership Requirements

Critical Distinction: Proof of purchase and ownership documentation requirements apply specifically and exclusively to motherboard deprovisioning services and equipment preparation for redeployment services. These requirements do not extend to:

  • PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) repairs and maintenance
  • Power supply unit repairs and component-level servicing
  • General electronic device repairs and maintenance services

  • Original purchase invoices or proof of ownership documentation
  • Written authorization for deprovisioning services
  • End-of-life or redeployment documentation from IT department
  • Chain of custody documentation for enterprise asset management

  • Specific Compliance Requirements: If you need certificates for specific data privacy standards (GDPR, APPI, LGPD, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA), please mention these during workorder creation
  • Customer Cooperation: We will do our best to follow your specific requirements and cooperate to meet your compliance needs when notified in advance

5. Service Methodology & Legal Protection

Our deprovisioning methodology is specifically designed to provide legal protection while delivering enterprise-grade services:

5.1 Authorized Restoration Process

  • Factory-Equivalent Reset: Restoration to state equivalent to manufacturer original condition

6. Liability & Indemnification

Global Liability Limitations: Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless My Motherboards Inc. from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from misuse of services, misinterpretation of service descriptions, or violation of local laws. Our liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the specific service rendered. We disclaim all liability for consequential, indirect, punitive, or special damages. This limitation applies in all jurisdictions to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Consumer Contract Act Exception: This limitation does not apply to liability caused by our intent or gross negligence (本免責は当社の故意または重過失による責任には適用されません).

7. Tender & Procurement Language

8. Collection, Storage Fees, and Abandoned Property

We will notify you when your device is ready for return. If you do not complete payment and accept delivery within 60 days of our notice, we may charge reasonable storage fees. If the device remains uncollected after 90 days from notice, we may recycle, dispose of, or sell the device to recover charges, in accordance with applicable law.

9. Force Majeure & Legal Framework

Additional legal protections and operational considerations:

  • Force Majeure (不可抗力): We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including natural disasters, epidemics, power/network failures, acts of government, or supply-chain disruptions)
  • Governing Law & Jurisdiction (準拠法・管轄): This Agreement is governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the Kobe District Court (Japan) as the court of first instance (本規約は日本法に準拠します。紛争が解決しない場合、神戸地方裁判所を第一審の専属的合意管轄裁判所とします)
  • Entire Agreement & Severability: These Terms are the entire agreement for the services described. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted with an updated "Last updated" date

Legal Finality: These terms constitute the entire agreement between parties and shall be interpreted under Japanese law. By using our services, clients acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to these comprehensive terms designed for legal protection and enterprise service delivery in compliance with Japanese law.
